  • Where can I obtain, a listing of city/town, state and Zip codes for the US?
Is it available for download and in an excel format or a dbase format?
    Thank you

    1. Go to www.usps.gov

There are several databases that you (shudder) can buy.

Depending on your needs, you may want the AIS, CRIS or the zipcode db's.

The reason you pay for them is because the gov't is cheap? No. The real reason is that they produce constant updates and send them to you. At the end of a year, you've gotten 8 CD's and other materials.

To get the same stuff from a private software vendor costs $1000+ per year per PC. I know - I worked at a place that used this software.
