Microsoft Access: Zipping a Data Base for Email

I have a Data Base which is just over 9 Megs in size. When I zip the Data Base to send as an attachment, the size only reduces by a few bytes. I have used "Compact & Repair" which does not make any difference to the Zipping. Any help would be appreciated & Thanks

you could split the db and send as two separate attachments

That sounds unusual. I usually see quite a bit of compression when zipping a
database. In case there's any corruption in the database you could try
creating a new blank database and importing everything from your existing
database. Then compact the new db and see if it gets any smaller, and then
zip it to see if it gets smaller.

Check if you accidentally encrypted the database, the file will not shrink
by much if you try and compress (zip) it..

If you encrypted it...it will not compress.....
go:

tools->security->Encrypt/decrypt database.
