Hello, I am trying to Zip files from Access front end.i am able to do this but it creates a zip file but the original is deleted. How do i zip as well as retain the original copy.Obviously something to do with the command line .I am using " -m ". Also while on it ,how to identify this zipped file on the directory of one Drive and move it to another Drive.I am working on a networked environment with shared drives. Thanks, Rob

Erm. It would help us help you if we knew what software you are using to
ZIP, and how you are using it. There are many different options available
for creating ZIP files.

A workaround might involve copying the files before you zipped them, then
after the zip, rename the copies as appropriate.

Can't help here, maybe you need to provide more info. Do you need to do this
in Access? Maybe a script of some ilk could achieve this.
